Want to see most of Ottawa in just two hours? Then, join us for this leisurely relaxed bike tour which is about 14 kilometers (7-8.5 Miles) and shows you many of Ottawa’s major attractions. We will cycle on scenic and safe bicycle paths to capture some of the great views of the city and talk about its unique history and present time.

Our expert, local guides will show you all the hot spots, provide you with recommendations for your stay, and enlighten you with historical anecdotes about Ottawa and Canada. We'll ride along the Ottawa river, stop near Rideau Canal Locks, check out the National Gallery of Canada, plus see plenty of other famous sites and landmarks. Our guides will also point out their favorite haunts and hidden gems. If you're short on time or just want a solid overview of the city, then this is the tour for you! You will be amazed by how much you will see and learn in just 2 hours.

Meeting Point

This tour departs from our shop located at 79 Sparks St, Ottawa, Ontario. We're just beside Parliament Hill between Elgin St. and Metcalfe Ave.

What are you covid policies?

Masks are required when inside the store or when using the bathrooms. Masks are not required when cycling as distancing can be maintained. All equipment is washed and sanitized prior to use.

What's the cancellation policy?

We're happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

What's included?

We provide the bike, helmet, expert local guide, and a free bottle of water. Gratuities are not included.

Is this a kid-friendly tour?

Yes! We have child-friendly options that include child trailers, single-wheeled tag-along bikes that attach to an adult bike, and various child-sized bikes. Just let us know in the notes of your booking if you would like to reserve any of our children's equipment. Please note that all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Are helmets required?

Yes, and they are included.

What's your weather policy?

We operate rain or shine. In the event of extreme inclement weather we may need to rebook for safety reasons.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Our bike fleet is made up of various sizes of newest-model Marin comfortable city bikes. You can also select an e-bike for an additional fee.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

Aside from bathroom breaks the Ottawa City Bike Tour is an outdoor activity.

How long is this tour?

Our Ottawa City Bike Tour is about 2 hours long and we'll cover approximately 7.5 miles/12 kilometers. Riding time is around an hour and the the other hour will include stops an explanations about the sites we see.

Can I leave the tour early?

Yes, we can provide instructions how to safely return to the shop if you need to leave the tour early.

Do you have e-bikes?

Yes, we offer various pedal-assist electric bicycles, which are available for an additional fee. Please note that e-bikes are only available to guests 16 years+.

Is there a place to store bags/luggage during the tour?

We recommend leaving large luggage and valuable items at your accommodation. We can store small items, such as a backpack, should you need to leave them with us during your tour.

Will my bike have a basket?

Most bikes have a back rack and can be fitted with a mid-size pannier bag.

Where can I park?

We are located in Downtown Ottawa and a few steps away from the Parliament Hills which is extremely walkable. We highly recommend leaving your car at your hotel or taking a cab or uber. But if you must drive, here are a few suggestions: National Art Centre Parkade (99 Elgin St.), City Hall (110 Laurier Ave W)
