Starting our tour from the South Perth foreshore, we'll kick things off with incredible views of the city and the Swan River. This is a great vantage point for your guide to provide you with a brief history of Perth before diving into the more specific sites.
We'll enjoy cycling along the river, stopping to see and learn about sites such as the famous Blue Boat House and the Old Mill. We'll pedal our way through the wetlands, where we can appreciate wildlife and vegetation that make this area unique. We'll also see colonial structures, one of Perth's first swimming areas, and the incredible Matilda Bay parkland situated next to the University of WA. You will also hear about the first Australian who lived in the area along with explorers from European nations that settled the Swan River Colony.
Our tour continues into Kings Park as we ride through ancient bushland and along the tree lined avenues dedicated to our fallen soldiers. Arriving at the main precinct area over looking Perth we will stop for a well earned break and a chance to explore this part of the park on foot.
The ride home is simply stunning thanks to a network of scenic paths through the beautiful John Oldham Park. We hope that you will join us for this nature-inspired tour of Perth!

We do have a few smaller bikes available for anyone who is at least 5 ft/155cm. We recommend that all participants are at least 7 years old. There are also a few hills on this tour that may not be the best for younger children. If your child is younger than 7 but a good rider, feel free to contact us in advance so that we can determine if this tour would be a good fit for your family.
We use comfortable, step-through city bikes that make it easy for all riders to start and stop and stay upright in order to best take in the sites. If you are at all nervous about not being able to ride, feel free to swing by our office a little early and give the bikes a test ride!
Yes, Australian law requires that all cyclists wear a helmet while riding. These are provided free of charge and cleaned before and after each use.
This ride is approximately 3 hours with a break in the middle to explore Kings Park by foot and enjoy a drink/snack should you choose (cost not included). We will cover approximately 10 miles/16 kilometers at a very steady pace.
Unfortunately, we do not have e-bikes available for this tour. This tour does have a few inclines, but guests are welcome to walk their bikes when needed. The rest of the tour is along beautiful bike paths that line the Swan River, but we do ask that all guests be comfortable riding their own bike.
Of course!
We will include a stop within Kings Park to give everyone a break and a chance to explore a bit on their own, however the cost of any food and drink you wish to purchase are not included in the tour price. Also, we highly recommend bringing a full bottle of water, and it can get very hot in Perth! There is a place on the bike to secure your bottle so that you do not have to carry it.
We recommend checking the forecast and dressing appropriately for the temperature/weather. Sunscreen is a must in Perth, and hats/sunglasses are highly recommended. There is no need to wear full-on biking gear, but you are more than welcome to do so!
