Our Sydney Classic Bike Tour is a fun and relaxed way to see all of the city's beautiful sites in just a few hours! There is so much to see and do here; allow our local guides to show you the highlights, give you insider information about the best way to spend your time after the tour, and fill you in on some fascinating Australian history.
This tour begins in the lively Rocks neighborhood, located just south of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. From here, we will visit a few iconic locations around the Walsh Bay, such as Observatory Hill where you will have a stunning view over the city of Sydney. Pedaling around Darling Harbour we'll also see Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and share with you the history of Australia, from its time as a convict's haven to present-day life.
About mid-way through the tour, we'll stop in at our favorite local pub for a chance to chat, enjoy a drink, and get to know your guide and group. This is an excellent opportunity to talk about your plans for the rest of your time in Sydney and get insider information from your guide.
We will wrap up the tour with a stop at the Royal Botanical Gardens and the famous Customs House of Sydney. This tour will provide you with a chance to see the sites, learn about them, and enjoy a half-day out and about taking in the city.

Our tours go in rain or shine, so we recommend bringing along a rain jacket. We also have ponchos available if you forget!
We provide an extremely comfortable bicycle, helmets (mandatory), bicycle mounted bags for small items, we can offer secure baggage storage at our office during the tour for your larger bags, we have rain ponchos if necessary, and of course we'll match you with a fun, entertaining, and knowledgable guide. Any drinks at the pub where we'll stop for a short break are not included in the tour price, and gratuities are at your discretion. We also recommend bringing along your own water bottle.
We recommend comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a rain poncho. We've had guests ride in flip-flops/open-toed sandals and be just fine, so it's all about your comfort. It gets very, very hot in Sydney, so sun protection is a must. You can fit your brimmed hat under your helmet (helmets are mandatory here). We also recommend a light weight rain jacket in the event of rain, but we also have extra ponchos if you forget!
Absolutely! Our classic bike tour is our most popular as it showcases nearly all of the city in just a few hours. We maintain a leisurely pace throughout and privilege easy paths through parks and along the harbour. Kids will love seeing Sydney from the vantage point of a bike, and there are plenty of non-alcoholic options at our favorite pub. We have smaller bikes, tag-along tandems, and baby seats available; thanks for letting us know in the notes section of your booking if you'll need a kid's bike/accessory, and we'll set that aside for you.
We will be together for about 4 hours and cover 10.5 miles/17 kilometers at a very leisurely pace.
We will provide you with a 21-geared hybrid bike that is comfortable and easy to ride. We have a few different sizes that you can try out when you arrive, and we also have kid's bikes/accessories available. Just let us know in the notes of your booking if you'll need something smaller.
Yes! Although we think that our standard bikes are extremely comfortable and easy to ride, if you want or need an extra boost on this tour, simply select the e-bike option at checkout. For an additional AUD $30/person, you can upgrade to a battery-assisted e-bike.
