Explore the beautiful Villandry Gardens with us!
This tour starts in the heart of the magnificent capital city of the Loire Valley; Tours. From our easy-to-find meeting point, we'll size everyone for the bikes and then head out on a leisurely 20-minute ride through the town, stopping briefly to point out some of the highlights such as the city hall and the park around the lake.
As we near the edge of town, we'll begin our 50-minute ride along the Cher river and through the French countryside. This is a lovely way to take in the sights and see the area surrounding Tours that is often overlooked. About five minutes before reaching our destination, we discover the quaint village of Savonnières by the river.
This is a quintessential French homestead that will provide you with excellent photo opportunities.
Once we arrive in Villandry, you will have the chance to tour the most spectacular gardens in the Loire Valley. Included is the Renaissance garden, the water garden, the kitchen garden, & the herb garden; each one filled with stories and various plants and flowers. We will provide a guided tour of the gardens so that you can further appreciate their beauty.
We'll then enjoy a leisurely cycle back into town where your guide will provide you with plenty of restaurant recommendations so that you can continue enjoying your stay in Tours.
