TOUR DESCRIPTION

What better place to start your tour of Rio than across from the iconic Copacabana beach? Join us, and in roughly four hours you will get to experience the city as a local and see more than just the beaches.

Before hopping on our bikes, we will brief you on safety in traffic, the route we'll cover of over 15 miles/25kilometers, and the highlights you can expect to see along the way. After the briefing we’ll cycle through the lively backstreets of the Copacabana neighborhood towards our first stop in the hipster quarter of Botafogo; the so-called ‘celebrity’ cemetery of São Jão Batista.
From there, we'll ride to the Bay of Guanabara along the Flamengo Beach in the direction of the historical center of Rio. Your guide will help you discover the history of Rio and the first settlers who arrived by boat. He/she will also share information about the nightlife, food, and local drinks and customs here that make this city one of a kind.

In downtown Rio we will visit the bohemian neighborhood of Lapa, see the Aqueduct (Arches) of Lapa, and enjoy a longer stop at the beautiful stairs of Selaron, with their colored tiles.

We will the pass through the neighborhoods of Gloria and Catete and explore the terrific Flamengo park. As we head out of the park we'll ride by the Copacabana beach one more time before returning back where we started. This is the best way to see all of Rio while enjoying the sun and the sand!
