TOUR DESCRIPTION

This highlights tour is a great way to get your bearings in Rio and discover the southern part of the city. Starting across from the famed Copacabana beach, we'll begin with an extensive briefing about traffic safety, the route, and the highlights you can expect to see while on tour.

We'll start along the bike lane just next to the beach in the direction of Sugarloaf Mountain. Along the way, you will hear about Copacabana’s colorful history and local culture and social life. At the Red beach, next to Sugarloaf Mountain, we’ll enjoy great views and a peaceful area outside of the hustle and bustle of the city.

From there, we’ll continue on to Botafogo beach and visit the local hipster quarter here. This will take us to the Lake Lagoa, site of the rowing events during the Olympics in 2016.

Next to Lagoa lies Ipanema, a former artist colony, and now home to Rio's wealthiest. Cycling through Ipanema, you will get a glimpse of its trendy bars and sophisticated restaurants. The beach here is simply stunning, and its one of our favorite stops.
After potentially dipping your toes in, we'll leave Ipanema to head back to Copacabana beach. This is a great tour to discover all of the hidden facets of Rio!
