Get out of Florence for an epic day trip to Cinque Terre! This iconic seaside area is a series of five small towns, each with a unique Italian flavor.  We've created the perfect day-long itinerary leaving from Florence so that you can see and experience the most of it. We'll start out day outside the Santa Maria Novella train station where we have a private coach for the two-hour journey.  Upon arrival in the first of our five towns, Manarola, you will immediately understand why this part of the world is so famous. The vibrant colors, sloping hills, and breathtaking architecture is simply stunning.  We'll switch from our bus to a train here so that we can begin the official tour at Corniglia. Corniglia is also a great spot for lunch; the cost of lunch is not included but your guide will recommend plenty of local restaurants in Corniglia where you can enjoy a sit-down meal or just a sandwich. Corniglia is a lovely clifftop village that offers magnificent views.  We'll enjoy a short climb from the train station to the top of the town and then make our way towards Vernazza. For the hiking enthusiasts, you can enjoy a 2 mile/3.2 kilometer hike along the medieval trails in Vernazza. For those looking for less physical activity, we can easily substitute the train during this portion of the tour. The village of Vernazza is the epitome of Cinque Terre, so we'll offer everyone time to sit and enjoy the view or perhaps even go for a swim! We will leave Vernazza as a group and make our way to Monterosso by train.  This is the perfect town for souvenir shops, enjoying a glass or wine (or two!), or relaxing on the beach.  If you do plan on swimming be sure to bring your swimsuit and a towel so that you can complete the tour in dry clothes! We've saved the best for last; weather and season-permitting, our next adventure is a boat ride along the coast to Riomaggiore, the last of the five towns. From here, we will take the train to Le Spezia where the coach will pick us up for the ride back to Florence. This tour promises amazing views, excellent photo opportunities, and plenty of time to explore these beautiful towns at your leisure.  Throughout the day, your guide will share historical information and point you towards the best shops, restaurants, and bars so that you can enjoy every aspect of Cinque Terre.
