This tour covers the very best of downtown São Paulo! We will begin in the bohemian neighborhood of Largo do Arouche, a traditional immigrant district, and then cycle to Bom Retiro, an area heavily influenced by the textile industry. Both areas have heavily influenced the evolution of São Paulo and are worth exploring.
We'll then pass many architecturally significant buildings including the Luz train station and the Pinacoteca Museum before enjoying a relaxing ride through Parque da Luz, São Paulo's first public park. The Municipal Market is open on select days which is a great place to exotic Brazilian fruits!
We'll then make our way into the historical city center, crossing the Vale do Anhangabaú, surrounded by famous buildings, old overpasses, and modern murals. In the oldest part of the city, you will hear about how a small village founded by Jesuit priests with the help of Indigenous people has became one of the biggest cities in the world.
After visiting the squares, streets, and alleys of the historic center, and enjoying the architecture of the churches and monuments, we will head to Liberdade, a region known as the Japanese neighborhood now with plenty Afro-Brazilian influence. To round out our time together, we will see Praça Roosevelt, another bohemian region with theaters, bars and restaurants. We can't wait to show you the very best of São Paulo!
