Meeting Point

This tour departs from Koenji Station at 4 Chome-48-2 Koenjiminami, Suginami City, Tokyo 166-0003, Japan. 6 minute JR train ride from Shinjuku Station, 16 minute JR train ride from Shibuya Station.

What are your covid policies, and will I need to wear a mask?

Yes, masks are currently required both when cycling and when stopping.

This tour meets at Kōenji Station, 4 Chome-48-2 Koenjiminami, Suginami City, Tokyo 166-0003, Japan

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour departure. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

What is your weather policy?

The tour may be impacted by the weather. If we encounter a rainy day, basic ponchos will be provided and our ride generally proceeds as planned.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

We welcome children age 10 and older who are experienced riders. Please contact us for a private tour if you have smaller children.

What kind of bikes do you have?

We use Japanese 'mamachari' city cruiser style bikes.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Helmets are not required but are available free of charge.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We unfortunately will not have time to enter any sites on this tour, but you will come away with heaps of knowledge, a full belly, and a great memory.

How long is the ride?

This tour is 3.5 hours covering about 7.5-9.5 miles/ 12-15 kilometers.

Can I leave the tour early?

No, unfortunately once the tour starts you must stay with the group until the end.

Do you have electric bikes?

No we do not. But this is a very easy-to-ride tour that is great for most fitness levels.

Is there a place to store bags and luggage during the tour?

Yes you can store bags during the tour in our shop.

Is water included or can I purchase some before the tour?

Yes there is water available.

If food is included, and can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Food is included, however it is not possible to cater to dietary restrictions. Japanese cuisine often contains meat and seafood elements, with ‘dashi’ being a common base ingredient. Please understand that we will be visiting typical neighborhood eateries and that it can be difficult to cater to personal tastes, dietary requirements and food allergies. Feel free to tuck into as much or as little of the food as you wish. If the selection of eats on the day doesn’t quite satisfy your dietary requirements, just give the word and w're more than happy to discount the food element on any cycling tour.

Will there be a basket on my bike or a way to carry my bag?

Yes, there is a basket on the front of your bike to carry a small bag.

What riding level do I need?

For the enjoyment of all guests attending and for your personal safety, it’s recommended that you’re competent riding a bike through narrow and potentially crowded streets and on uneven surfaces for a distance of roughly 7.5-9.5 miles/ 12-15 kilometers.
